The Healthier Route

I am all about finding healthier alternatives when it comes to eating. I could spend hours searching healthy recipes on Pinterest that are easy and delicious.

Here is one of my favorite recipes I have discovered: no bake energy bites.

No bake energy bites take 10 minutes to make! They are easy to make, fast and a great on the go snack. This recipe makes the perfect amount (36 no bake energy bites).  Not to mention they are also vegan and gluten free!

Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • 1 cup oatmeal, dry
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2/3 cups coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup flax seeds


Mix all these ingredients into a medium size mixing bowl. After mixed together, let cool in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. This will make it easier to roll into balls to achieve individual bite sizes.

After the 10 minutes is up, it will be ready to be rolled into individuals balls. I place the rolled individual balls on a cookie sheet covered in parchment paper, which makes it an easy clean. After it is all rolled into balls and placed on the pan, they can go back into the refrigerator for another 10 minutes.

Then, you can enjoy this healthy, quick and perfect on the go snack! These no bake energy bites are the perfect alternative for mid-afternoon snack, breakfast or even dessert!
